Foreign Language Training Institute (ITK) is the examination centre with the largest network and the longest history in Hungary

We administer examinations at 80 well-equipped locations in the capital and in other cities and towns with 1000 examiners who receive regular in-service training.

ITK was established in 1967 as a foreign language training institute under the professional supervision of ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University). Over the past 40 years it has played an important role in teaching the general public, and at the same time has become a notable and recognised examination centre in Hungary.

The Foreign Language Training Institute of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE ITK) provides a preparatory training programme in English language and also in Hungarian language and culture for foreign students wishing to study at the University. We recommend these courses for those who cannot begin their studies immediately because their command of the English or Hungarian language is not good enough, or for those who would like improve their language skills while studying at the University.
 Length of courses: 1 or 2 terms
 Number of lessons: 25 per week (for a full term)
 Number of students in a group: between 2 and 6 (one-to-one teaching on demand)
 Tuition fee: 1600-2500 Euro / term (in the case of 25 lessons, depending on number of students in group)

Subjects (number of lessons and subjects can be changed according to demand):
 General English skills
 Specialist vocabulary in English (with outside specialists)
 Hungarian as a foreign language
 Cultural studies (in English or Hungarian according to demand)

ITK organises accredited preparatory courses for language exams at all levels from beginner to advanced in English, German, Russian, French and Spanish.

Types of courses

ITK also runs postgraduate methodology courses for teachers on the theory and practice of examinations.
