Eötvös University Press

The Eötvös Univesity Press (ELTE Eötvös Kiadó) was founded in 1994 by an order of the University Senate. According to the deed of foundation the main task of the University Press is to publish new books and textbooks in a form appropriate to the traditions and reputation of the University; to provide services in vetting, copyright issues and technical implementation.

Since 1994 more than 250 course books and text books have been published and the Eötvös University Press has become a recognized member of the higher education publishing market. Works published by Eötvös University Press feature the International Book Festival of Budapest, the Festive Book Season, and the Higher Educational Book Exhibition. Besides the well-known nationwide distributors, the University Press is in contact with 20 university bookshops.
