“The marvelous scenery outside our campus brightens up my mood and makes my studies here a pleasant experience. What is more, the most delightful thing every day is to read in our magnificent central library. Studying at ELTE is both enjoyable and fruitful.”

Why ELTE?

I love to study in Budapest, since it’s the capital city of Hungary, with amazing natural beauty, splendid historical sites and convenient transportations. Located in Budapest, ELTE is a prestigious university imbued with a rigorous academic atmosphere and strong mathematics foundation.

What do you like most about being a student at ELTE?

The Faculty of Science is located near the gorgeous river Danube. The marvelous scenery outside our campus brightens up my mood and makes my studies here a pleasant experience. What is more, the most delightful thing every day is to read in our magnificent central library. Studying at ELTE is both enjoyable and fruitful.

What are the challenges in your study program?

In my study program, I need to learn a lot of difficult mathematics courses such as stochastic processes, partial differential equations, abstract algebra and so on. Moreover, sometimes I need to go to BSM, a campus where the students are mainly highly intelligent Americans. It’s not easy for me to catch up with the American students in class, since they are rather active and speak very fast English when raising questions.

How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

On the wall of our department, there is the recruitment information of the famous investment bank Morgan Stanley and the research institute IST Austria. The experience of study here prepares me better for more satisfactory job positions and PhD opportunities.

Do you have any advice for future students at ELTE?

1) Concentrate your mind on study and regularly discuss with the professors about future opportunities.
2) Take part in more meaningful activities organized for international students, make more foreign friends and learn about various cultures.
3) Travel in and out of Hungary, broaden up your view to the outside world and perceive the world with a more open mind.
