The aim of the program is to ensure the existence of a new generation of scientists dedicated to sociology and social sciences, their thorough preparation for acquiring the PhD qualification and carrying out independent academic research and lecturing activities at a post-graduate academic level.
A PhD research can mean a significant step in your career. It is an intellectual challenge that presents an excellent possibility for academic development. For students who are genuinely interested in a scientific field, PhD-training yields knowledge they can rely on not only in their academic careers but also in the business world.
Scholarships supporting conference-attendance, research, and publication are available for our students. Our Doctoral School takes part in the European PhD in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies Programme, which offers opportunity for students to study and build connections at different universities.
In the upcoming academic year, our Faculty provides more state-funded places in the doctoral programme than previously. In the last academic year, the monthly stipend for the first 4 semesters was HUF 140 000, and for the second 4 semesters HUF 180 000.
