Student Guide Scholarship Payment Steps

Quick summary

To get your money you must: (1) sign the faculty presence form (your faculty informs you about it in time), (2) make sure your personal details (bank account number, tax ID, name spelling, email address, temporary address in Hungary) are correctly entered in the Neptun system and keep them up to date.

Step-by-step (what you should do)

  1. When the faculty announces the presence day deadline (1), go and sign the presence form. This happens usually during the month before the payment date. If you miss it, you cannot receive that month payment during the following payment period.

If the student does not attend any of the designated signing dates for the current month, at the next occasion for retroactive signing they must present or send us by email a document (such as an invoice issued in their name, a cash withdrawal slip, a public transport pass, or a flight ticket indicating the date of return, etc.) that proves they were residing in Hungary during the month in which they did not sign.

  1. Make sure your HUF bank account number is in the Neptun system as soon as possible and it is VALID. Add or update your bank account details until the given deadline (see (2) under “Deadlines”).
  2. Double-check your bank account details.

What to do in case you did not receive your scholarship

Check the following:

  • I signed the faculty presence form before the deadline given by the faculty. (If you are unsure, ask your faculty coordinator.)
  • My bank account number is added, it is correct and it was entered in the Neptun system in time.

 

If nothing above explains the lack of scholarship, then submit a ticket through Q-tér with your inquiry, sharing the details of the case.

Tips & best practices

  • Do it as soon as possible. The most common reason students miss a payment is adding or changing bank account details after deadline.
  • Ask your Faculty coordinator when the presence-signing day is — the faculty decides on that date.
  • If you change bank account, update the system well before the next payment cycle.
