GEP (Gender Equality Plan) development methodology
The research project "GEP (Gender Equality Plan) development methodology" was implemented at Eötvös Loránd University.

Identification of a Social Problem

According to the participation rules of the HORIZON EUROPE research and innovation framework program, activities carried out under the program in the field of R&D should aim to eliminate gender stereotypes and inequalities, enhance work-life balance, and promote gender equality, including the principle of equal pay free from gender-based discrimination. The gender dimension needs to be integrated into R&D content and monitored throughout the research cycle. In designing and implementing the GEP, organizations must follow the institutional change model and the principle of participation, while avoiding disparities that go beyond necessary organizational characteristics. The continuous monitoring and dissemination within the institution of GEP implementation should ensure that GEP measures are implemented at all levels of the organization.

Research findings

The project has developed an investigation and data exploration, as well as process planning and implementation guide and practice to assist domestic universities, scientific and research institutes, administrative institutions, and economic organizations that lack similar expertise in developing and implementing their Gender Equality Plan.

Introduction of the developed method

a) Service innovation description: It outlines the implementation roadmap, step blocks, and their logistic nodes in terms of how to prepare and establish a GEP development process. b) Investigation and data exploration, as well as process planning and implementation methodological guide, which includes indicators for implementation and monitoring, as well as the points and knowledge potential users can access from ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University): Diagnosis, process planning, implementation, coaching.
