The ELTE Dormitory Centre and the ELTE Housing Office continue their joint application to the accommodation services (dormitory and housing) of the 2024/2025 academic year for the international applicants and students of ELTE who will study in Budapest.

Waiting list applications to the Dormitory Centre will have a result only if and when the applicant gets accepted to a dormitory. The housing service is continuous, being independent and unaffected by the result of the dormitory application.

Who can apply?

Every international student who had enrolled for at least one active or passive semester at ELTE and studies in Budapest is eligible to apply in this proceeding.

How to apply?

The application form is available in the Neptun. Log in at neptun.elte.hu, open the Student web, then choose the “Dormitory Waiting List and Housing Application 2024/2025” form in the Administration / Requests menu.

The dormitory and housing applications are in separate sections of the same form. The selected dormitories show us your preferences, but you can be accepted to any dormitory. You will be forwarded to a confirming page after you have clicked on the “Submit” button.

The application form is active from 9th of September 2024, 09:00 a.m. (CET).

Result of the application

Applying does not grant a place automatically.

The housing does not have a result, it is continuous, and requires the activeness of the applicant to book a place. We are going to contact you within a few days after receiving your application with the actual offers.

Waiting list applications to the Dormitory Centre will have a result only if and when the applicant gets accepted to a dormitory. The Dormitory Centre will send the dormitory application’s result in e-mail with the subject “Letter of Acceptance to the ELTE … Dormitory” or “Letter of Rejection”. Make sure to check your spam folder as well!

Accommodation documents

To help the visa applications, the ELTE Letter of Acceptance includes a paragraph with the address of the ELTE Erdős Pál Dormitory. This paragraph does not grant you a dormitory place, but it is accepted by every Hungarian and most foreign authorities as a temporary proof of accommodation until you have an accommodation in Hungary.

The Dormitory Centre can issue accommodation documents (a proof of accommodation or dormitory certificate) for the next academic year only if and after you are accepted to a dormitory.

Every housing partner of ELTE provides the necessary accommodation documents if the booking has been confirmed by them.
