Additional funding for CHARM-EU from H2020 Programme
The TORCH (Transforming Open Responsible Research and Innovation through CHARM) proposal, submitted by CHARM-EU will be funded with 2 million euros for the next 3 years.

The results of the first call of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 research program for the European Universities were announced on 24 July 2020. CHARM-EU was one of the selected alliances to receive this complementary funding from the grant which aims to consolidate a common research and innovation agenda for the European Universities.

CHARM (Challenge-driven, Accessible, Research-based, Mobile) European University formed by the University of Barcelona, Eötvös Loránd University, Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University and University of Montpellier has participated in this call by presenting the TORCH project: Transforming Open Responsible Research and Innovation through CHARM. The proposal has been selected with a funding of €2M euros for the next 3 years.

The new project will start at the end of 2020. As stated on the CHARM-EU website, the project aims to align the research, teaching and innovation strategies by fostering a transformative agenda that has transdisciplinarity and interculturality as its main foundations. This project will also contribute to the consolidation of CHARM-EU as a European University through the improvement of the academic and research networks that have already started with the activities of the alliance.

ELTE is in charge of Open Science and will coordinate joint activities during the third year dedicated to piloting.
