The National Higher Education Scholarship for the academic year of 2021/2022 is for students with outstanding academic results. The calls for applications detailing the priorities of the fields were published on the websites of the faculties.

The National Higher Educational Scholarship is awarded by the minister in charge of education to students with outstanding academic results and scholarly achievements, for the academic year of 2021/2022.

The National Higher Educational Scholarship can be awarded to 0.8% of the number of state-funded students at our institution, this means 154 students in the academic year of 2021/2022.

The scholarship is for one academic year, i.e., 10 months, the amount of the scholarship is 40,000 HUF per month in 2021. State-founded students, scholarship holders, partial scholarship holders or self-paid full-time Bachelor, Master, or undivided training students, who have registered for at least two semesters and earned at least 55 credits and have student status at ELTE in the second half of the year are eligible to apply.

The call for application for the National Higher Education Scholarship is announced by ELTE, the call for applications are published by the faculties, including the newly established Faculty of Economics of ELTE (formerly known as the Institute of Business Economics) and the Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training Centre in Szombathely at least 30 days before the submission deadline (based on the faculty’s priorities) on the faculty website and on the Neptun interface, between 1 June 2021 and 5 June 2021. Students can contact the Student Affairs and Registrar's Offices of the faculties and the Student's Unions of the faculties for further information.

Applications must be submitted through Neptun within 30 days of the official publication of the call for evaluation and ranking by the faculties. The results will be sent out by the faculties after 16 July 2021.

The National Higher Educational Scholarship is awarded to students by the minister in charge of education, based on the ranking proposed by the University.
