As part of the "Book of Your Life" (BoYL) project, Eötvös Loránd University is calling for a tender, which provides an opportunity for university students to make an artistic presentation. 

The goal of the BoYL project is to support the integration of international students coming to ELTE, as part of this, a new student community space will be created in the University Library on Ferenciek square. The space will host a number of programs and will also provide a unique opportunity to present the artistic creations of the university student community. The public can see the selected projects for 4-6 weeks, from April 2024 at the earliest. 

In accordance with the theme of the BoYL project, the organizers are awaiting applications from domestic and foreign students using the following keywords: 

  • domestic and international student community at ELTE 
  • intercultural dialogue 
  • peoples and cultures, cultural heritage 
  • libraries, literature and poetry 
  • "home"

Eligible applicants: 

Domestic and international students of Eötvös Loránd University. 

The artwork intended for the pop-up exhibition can be: 

  • drawing 
  • painting 
  • graphics 
  • collage 
  • photo 
  • textile 
  • literary work (in printed form), e.g. poem, essay, short story excerpt, etc. 

The documentation for the application must contain the following: 

  • name 
  • faculty, major, year, Neptun code 
  • planned title of the exhibition 
  • professional concept with a short presentation of the works intended for the exhibition, maximum 2000 characters 
  • some examples from the specific works intended to be presented 

How to submit applications: 

Applications must be submitted to the e-mail address strategia@rk.elte.hu, with BoYL POP-UP KIÁLLÍTÁS in the subject line. The organizers also welcome any questions that may arise regarding the execution of the exhibitions at this address. 

Application submission deadline: 31 March 2024. 

A jury made up of members of the University Library and Archives, the Rector’s Cabinet and the Student Union (EHÖK) will judge the incoming applications.
