Exam Season: Harvesting the Results of Your Dedication

You might be wondering why I’m writing a blog instead of squeezing in those last hours of studying. Fair question! But I’ve found that sometimes, taking a break, reflecting, and letting go a little is exactly what I need. And that’s kind of the heart of what I want to share with you this month.
We’re in exam season, and just like the title says, it’s time to harvest the results of our dedication.
Remember how we’ve been building up to this from the very first chapter. These past weeks (or even months), we’ve planted seeds: study sessions, lectures attended, notes reviewed, nights building a healthy, suitable and effective routine. It’s all been building up to this moment. And now… it’s okay to say, I’ve done enough.
I’m not here to tell you how to study, or give you a list of last-minute tips. Instead, I want to remind you that what you’ve done already matters. It counts. Even if you’re nervous (I definitely am), don’t let stress steal the spotlight from your hard work.
What’s helped me lately is understanding that rest is also productive. Knowing when to stop, breathe, and trust that I’ve prepared as best as I could. That’s just as important as the study sessions themselves.
Another reminder I’ve been holding onto: every brain works differently. Some people review right up to the last second; others need a quiet walk or a nap before the big moment. Some thrive with flashcards and color-coded notes; others with discussion or silence. Some need to light candles, breathe fresh air and pray (Me) There’s no single “right” way, only your way. So compare yourself to no one but who you were yesterday.
I’m trying to treat this exam not just as a challenge, but as a celebration. A chance to show everything I’ve learned. A way to close this chapter with pride. I can’t lie, I am glad to say even though there is stress there is also a sparkling hint of excitement and nothing else can make me happier than to feel excited about finally showing my hard work.
And by the time you’re reading this, I’ll hopefully be deep in preparations for my graduation ceremony or as I like to call it, my final chapter of this journey, but that’s for another blog. Maybe even my final blog? We’ll see.
For now, I’m sending you calm, courage, and all the positive prayers for this exam season.
May your results reflect your efforts, may your mind stay clear, and may you find peace in knowing: you showed up. You tried. You cared. That’s already a success.
Keep going. Keep growing. We’re almost there.
See you soon,
Sarah Sabek
