Lecture by Prof. Dr. Mircea Dumitru, the Rector of the University of Bucharest at ELTE.

About the presenter: Prof. Dr. Mircea Dumitru teaches analytic philosophy and philosophical logic at the University of Bucharest which he is leading as rector since 2011. He has been the Minister of Education and Scientific Research from July 2016 until January 2017. He is the President of the International Institute of Philosophy in Paris. Currently, he is editing a book, „Metaphysics, Modality, and Meaning. Themes from Kit Fine (on the philosophy of Kit Fine)”, which is forthcoming with Oxford University Press.

The title of the lecture: The End of the Humanities? Why Do We Still Need Liberal Arts and Humanistic Education in the Universities? The lecture will be held in English.
