TWE+ consortium led by ELTE to support quality teaching mobility
The Teach with Erasmus+ project reached an important milestone by presenting the first version of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Platform within the frames of the ’’Quality Teaching Mobility’’ conference on 1 October, 2020.

The online conference was the first occasion when the TWE+ project consortium (Eötvös Loránd University – ELTE as coordinator, University of Alcalá, Unilasalle, European University Foundation - EUF and Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe - UNICA) presented their main outcomes to the interested stakeholders.

The program of the event included 9 presentations from various higher education professionals, starting with Prof. Luciano Saso, President of UNICA and Prof. Dr. Imre Hamar, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), who opened the conference.

Johannes Gehringer, Policy Officer in the Erasmus+ Team at the Higher Education Unit, DG EAC gave the keynote speech on the state of play of teaching mobility in Europe and the planned novelties related to teaching mobility in the new Erasmus program.

More than 100 attendees learned first-hand about the research on quality aspects of teaching mobility from Dr. László Horváth, assistant professor at ELTE. The research aimed at discovering the opportunities and obstacles teachers meet when they go on mobility. Based on the findings, ELTE developed the Quality & Impact tool for Teaching Mobility Assessment which can be used to assess and improve future teaching mobilities.

During the event the first version of the new Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Platform was presented, where higher education institutions and teachers can meet on a virtual marketplace to offer or search for teaching mobility opportunities. The website is a long awaited logical continuation of the popular IMOTION platform that revolutionized administrative staff mobility in 2013.  The new platform for teachers is available for the public. If you are interested in testing the functions, please visit the feedback survey and share your thoughts!

The presentations of the conference our available on our website.
