Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) informs its students that because of an attack that took place on 26 April in the evening, aimed the information system of various Hungarian universities, ELTE has decided to shut down the Neptun system temporarily.

The university has started an investigation related to the incident and took the steps necessary during such cases, both in general and related to information technology. We ask for the patience of our students until the system can be restarted. At the same time, we would like to solicit our students to not open or reply to any false messages that are not sent by the operator.
