ELTE started collecting donations on Monday HU
In the countrywide initiative of the University, non-perishable food, blankets, mattresses, general and women’s hygiene products are collected, and it is also possible to offer apartment rentals to the refugees and the Hungarian students across the borders.

In Budapest two designated locations accept donations:

  • on the Pest side in the Quaestura office (1053 Budapest, Henszlmann Imre utca 1.) every weekday between 7 am and 7 pm.
  • on the Buda side in the Southern building of the Lágymányos Campus, in the HÖK office of the Faculty of Informatics (1117 Budapest, Pázmány Péter sétány 1/C), between 11 am and 3 pm.

The staff members of the University register the donations and arrange its storage, security and transfer.

We would like to kindly ask those who would like to contribute, to primarily bring cleaning, hygiene and health products, medications and non-perishable food, because a huge volume of clothes arrived on the first day.

We would also like to remind everyone that starting from Monday, the University switches back to classroom teaching, therefore a higher number of visitors are expected at the student service office. Please, adhere to the known epidemic measures at the locations (wear a mask, keep distance), and follow the guidance of the always present coordinators at the locations.
