Expected payment dates

Dates below are not fixed dates, they can (and probably will) vary.

• 22^th September 2025
• 10^th October 2025
• 10^th November 2025
• 10^th December 2025
• 12^th January 2026

Keep in mind that the list of student payments is finalized weeks before this date, so try to keep your data up to date. If your bank account details are updated or your in-person registration at the faculty (see 'Additional criteria' below) happens after the payment lists are finalized, you will receive your funds retrospectively in the following payment period.

Last payments for graduating students:

• partial studies students: last supported month according to the scholarship agreement; June for the very last time
• BA/MA full degree students: July
• doctoral students: August

Scholarship holders who receive their degree at the end of the spring semester under the SH Programme and receive scholarship at a higher level of training are eligible for August payments.

For students who applied for an extension for the autumn semester (and are no longer eligible for scholarship payments), the last payment was transferred in July 2025.

Technical details

Payments can only be issued to students who have entered their HUF bank account number and who also have a temporary address in Hungary and a Hungarian tax identification number in the system. It is the student's responsibility to check and ensure that the right data is kept in Neptun. Do not enter any IBAN data, only the account number (3*8 or 2*8 digits).

A bank account number can be entered under Finances > Settings > Bank accounts > Add bank account number.
The address can be checked under My data > Contact information > Addresses
The tax ID can be checked under My data > Personal Information > Personal Information

Note that payments are processed at least a few days before they are issued, and if you entered your bank account number at the last minute, you might not receive your scholarship payment before the next date.

If a student is eligible for a payment but it could not be issued at the date for that month, the payment will be attempted again on the next date. Payments are only made on these dates. Some exceptions might apply, for details see the Academic Regulations.

Additional criteria for SH, SCYP and HDS students

Students who are participating in Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme, Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People and Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Programme have additional requirements for scholarship eligibility. As stated in the SH Operational Regulations III.3.6. , SCYP Operational Regulations III.3.2. and HDS Operational Regulations IV. 3.6. scholarship holders are required to reside in Hungary in order to be eligible for financial support, as these scholarship programmes are meant to support the students while they are living and studying in the country. Scholarship holders are elgible for the monthly payments starting from the month they register at the faculty in person at the beginning of each semester. Please consult with your faculty coordinator about the appointments for the registration.

Other rules and restrictions also apply for keeping your scholarship holder status. The scholarship programmes sometimes have additional, stricter expectations than the University's Academic Regulations.
