The CHARM-EU Master’s in Global Challenges for Sustainability is a brand new, flexible and inclusive programme offering a unique international learning opportunity. CHARM-EU students have the chance to address the pressing need for sustainability in a transdisciplinary and challenge-based environment.

The programme consists of three compulsory phases. In the “preparatory phase”, the focus is on acquiring general skills, especially in the field of sustainability, social innovation and transdisciplinary research. In the second, “flexible phase”, students choose between the tracks on Water, Food and Life & health. In the final, “capstone phase”, students do a project on a sustainability challenge, in cooperation with a societal partner.

International mobility is an integrated part of the programme: the CHARM-EU mobility combines the best of a truly international classroom and mobility activities. You will be able to follow a unique learning path through Europe, supporting your learning needs and ambitions.

The 90ECTS programme lasts 18 months and is a unique opportunity to obtain an accredited master’s degree jointly awarded by five CHARM-EU partner universities: the University of Barcelona, Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University, Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Montpellier.
