Course description
  1.  Conception and basic terminology of toxicology. Origin of toxic substances. National and international standards, risk assessment

  2.  Toxico-kinetics: metabolism of toxic agents. Application, absorption, distribution, metabolism and release of toxic substances

  3.  Introduction of hazardous chemicals, characteristics of natural and prepared toxins, analysis of their effect

  4. Development of toxic effect on target tissues, toxicology of each organs, especially of the nervous system.

  5.  Toxicological tests – neurotoxicological investigations I. Anatomical and biochemical studies

  6.  Toxicological tests – neurotoxicological investigations II. Neurochemical and electrophysiological studies

  7.  Toxicological tests – neurotoxicological investigations III. Behavioural and clinical toxicology
