*CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION FOR 2021/22*

Dear Participants and Partners,

We kindly inform you that Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is accepting students and staff (including teachers and researchers as well) for incoming mobility for the 2021/22 Academic Year. 

The University intends to start the 2021/22 Academic Year with personal attendance. While maintaining the priority of personal knowledge transfer, the University intends to preserve some of the well-established forms of digital education and bring online and hybrid solutions developed during the pandemic into normal operation.

ELTE university strongly recommends for all University Citizens to take the opportunity to be vaccinated. In the next 2021/22 Academic Year, no one can plead to the absence of their vaccination in order to be exempted from the general presence regulations or internships bound to immunity due to occupational safety measures; additionally, all university events can be attended only with proof of immunity.

If you are a student at another university and you are interested in studying as an exchange student at ELTE, these pages are for you. We have collected the most frequent study abroad scholarships and other opportunities that international students choose when they come to ELTE as exchange students for one or two semesters.

CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION FOR 2020/21 ACADEMIC YEAR

Dear Participants and Partners,

We kindly inform you that Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is accepting students for incoming mobility for the 2020/21 Academic Year. The minimum period of physical mobility however must be at least 3 months for studies and 2 months for traineeships. We can not accept students for shorter periods of physical mobility. 

Staff mobility (including teachers and researchers as well) for the 2020/21 Academic Year is not supported. Such invitations and incoming mobility may be requested in exceptional cases from the ELTE Epidemiological Operative Coordinating Body and, during the border closure, additional permits need to be obtained.

As of November 11, 2020 until contrary provisions, ELTE has switched from hybrid education to distance education. The Spring semester is planned to be conducted based on the regulations of hybrid education, taking into account that the curriculum will probably be delivered and cultivated in a completely online educational form in the first half of the semester. Nevertheless, ELTE encourages students to arrive in Hungary at the beginning of the semester regardless of the form of education, provided the future epidemiological measures allow.

CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION FOR 2020/21 AUTUMN SEMESTER

Dear Students and Partners,

We kindly inform you that Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is accepting students for incoming mobility for the 2020/21 Academic Year. The minimum period of physical mobility however must be at least 3 months for studies and 2 months for traineeships. We can not accept students for shorter periods of physical mobility.

The majority of courses will require physical attendance. It is also possible to request an exemption and pursue distance learning. Such permissions will only be granted due closed borders and similar COVID-19 related travel restrictions, or due to health conditions that put one at high risk. The permission is valid until the hindering conditions are still in effect (e.g. until it is possible to arrive in Hungary), but no later than until the end of the pandemic situation. To indicate your request for distance learning, please submit the form called "Request for participation in distance education" in the Neptun Education System. Should you have any questions regarding the form and its submission, contact your faculty coordinator.
