Summary of Budapest Summer University 2022.

This year we hosted international students from Switzerland, Bhutan, Germany, the Czech Republic, Mongolia, France, Germany, Tunisia, India, Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands between the 24th and 30th of July.

They participated in four summer courses:

Highlights of Hungarian Literature Cinema and Art- organised by ELTE School of English and American Studies
Multifaceted Informatics- organised by ELTE Faculty of Informatics
Social Traumas Living With Us- organised by ELTE Faculty of social Sciences
Contested Truth vs. Industrial Scale Fakery – organised by ELTE Institute for Art Theory and Media Studies

The participants were hosted at the Zágrábi Dormitory in Budapest.

After the opening ceremony on Monday, the participants joint their course at 4 different venues. They had they had lessons, workshops and field trips every day between 9.00 and 15.00 in their chosen subject. In the afternoon they were offered various leisure time activities, such as yoga at ELTE Botanical Garden, Kenuing and SUP on the River Danube at ELTE Watersport Centre, Sound Dome at the newly opened Hungarian House of Music. On Friday they visited the Parliament.

International students of ELTE helped to coordinate BSU participants throughout the whole week in each course. The summer university participants closed the action-packed program with a sightseeing boat trip in Budapest on Saturday.
