About the Africa Strategy

The Africa Strategy of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) aims to build well-established and active relationships with higher education institutions in African countries. The strategic approach to the region is to identify the best fields of cooperation with universities and find active partnerships, with feasible outward and inward student mobility that is sustainable in the long term. As the Sub-Saharan region is a key focus of the Erasmus ICM that is one significant point that can be built on.

The strategy was established in 2022 with the ambition of building 10 valuable partnerships. ELTE not only reached this goal but till the end of 2023 the numbers doubled to 20 cooperational agreements. The activity, involvement and support of the embassies, ELTE faculties is significant in this process and also the conferences and workshops around the world.
