Help - Academic level

Short:

Short programs are recommended to candidates who want to get familiar with recent research on a specific field without wanting to gain a university degree. Similar to degree programs, short programs are taught by university staff.

Pre-univeristy:

Pre-university programs are recommended to candidates who want to build a firm basis for their further studies at bachelor and master levels at ELTE. The program sare built up of special preparatory courses in the preparatory year. A successfully completed pre-university program is acknowledged with a certificate and it automatically ensures admission to the respective program at bachelor level at ELTE.

Bachelor:

Bachelor programs are recommended to candidates who want to gain knowledge ona specific field of study in a three-year study program. By completing a bachelor program, you will be awarded an internationally recognized bachelor’s degree (BA orBSc). Please note that a succes sfully completed pre-university program at ELTE ensures an automatic admission to the respective program at bachelor level at ELTE.

Master:

Master programs are recommended to candidates who want to gain advanced knowledge on a specific field of study. To enter a master program, you need to have a bachelor degree on a related field of study. By completing a master program, you will be awarded an internationally recognized master’s degree (MA or MSc).

Master of Laws ( LLM):

The Master of Laws (LLM) is an advanced academic degree. It is recommended to candidates who already have completed studies in Law and would like to gain more knowledge on a specific area of the law.

Doctoral:

Doctoral programs are recommended to candidates who have deep scientific interest and would like to carry out a larger research project in a given field of research. After completing and defending your independent research project in the form of the doctoral dissertation, you will be awarded the doctorate.
