Short-term program:
Short programs are recommended to candidates who want to get familiar with recent research on a specific field without wanting to gain a university degree. Similar to degree programs, short programs are taught by university staff.
Preparatory program:
Pre-university programs are recommended to candidates who want to build a firm basis for their further studies at bachelor and master levels at ELTE. The programs are built up of special preparatory courses in the preparatory year. A succes sfully completed pre-university program is acknowledged with a certificate and it automatically ensures admission to the respective program at bachelor level.
Degree program:
ELTE offers degree programs at undergraduate (BA/BSc), graduate (MA/MSc), and postgraduate (PhD) levels. Anyone can apply for the programs who intends to obtain a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree at Eötvös Loránd University and who wants to follow the entire program in a foreign language. The entire full degree program takes place at ELTE in Budapest, Hungary.
Joint program:
As member of various consortia, ELTE also offers programs jointly with other universities, so-called joint programs. Students of a joint program complete their studies at ELTE in Budapest (at least one semester) and at other member universities in the consortium (at least one semester). Location and length of studies at a certain university always depend on the mobility track of the student. Students are awarded a double degree (in case of completing the studies at two universities) or multiple degrees (in case of completing the studies at more than two universities).
