Course description

Aim of the course:

The aim of the course is to give a deeper insight into the current topics of cognitive psychology and to provide an introduction of the lab work in the department. Students are to choose one of the following courses:

  1. Numeric cognition and its development
  2. Categorization and category learning
  3. Space, time, and the brain
  4. Attentional processes

The chosen course presents the latest theoretical approaches and experimental results of the specific field in the form of a colloquium. All of the available research topics are related to the current research in cognitive science and neuroscience. During the semester students can acquire the most important method of the giving field, and they can join in the research of that research group.
