What stood out to you about ELTE?

The cooperation and friendly attitude of the professors. They are always there for you, and the Faculty of Social Sciences is probably the most student friendly faculty at ELTE. And of course, the Sociology Department is invincible

What makes studying at ELTE so great?

The relaxed environment for students to flourish and the variety of courses offered. The calm and ease with which we can go through our semester and enjoy studying new things.

What are / were your challenges in your study program?

I enjoy sociology. So, I take those challenges rather as opportunities. But, keeping up with such a broad subject is quite a task. I thank my professors and my coordinator for helping me through this.

How did you overcome these challenges?

Our Degree course is quite wide and touches a lot of different fields and perspectives. So, it was easier to keep up in all fields of social sciences. I also have quite a diverse friend group, so I keep learning different things from them. A few days ago, I learned about Architecture :).

How would you describe ELTE in three words?

Support. Engage. Develop.

How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

Despite the talk and clouds over the future of Sociology, I am confident about my decision of studying and had it validated so far. I look forward to using the Sociological knowledge I gained in my personal and professional life to solve issues of common interest. The idea of looking at a problem from different aspects and finding the root cause is one of the prominent lessons I’ve learned in Sociology.
