Notice of postponement of ELTE Budapest Summer University

It is an important mission of Eötvös Loránd University to reach out to students and researchers from around the world with programmes that provide world-class education embedded in the Hungarian cultural landscape while creating opportunities to build relationships and to learn about each other's knowledge and expertise. In the spirit of this goal, the University, with many of its coworkers, has been organising and coordinating for several years the ELTE Budapest Summer University, a one-week English-language summer school programme.

The leadership of ELTE, considering the possibilities, has come to the conclusion that due to the emergence and spread of the coronavirus epidemic and the unforeseen duration of its run-in, the above-mentioned event will be held next time one year later than planned, in the summer of 2021. In this extraordinary situation, this postponement is the only way in which the leaders of the University see guarantee for the full protection of the health of the participants, which the organisers consider their most important task.
