International Relations (IR) is a quite broad field where you have to learn a lot of important insights. The first semester was the toughest for me. A new environment, different teaching methods, and the immense workload were hard at first, but you get used to this kind of lifestyle and you feel that the hard work will pay off and will be worth it.

How did you overcome these challenges?

I believe, daily effort in learning the study materials and expanding your knowledge is the key. Of course, having a good social life is also an important aspect of overcoming challenges. Being around similar-minded people to discuss interesting topics and just to hang out and explore new places helps eliminate stress that every single one of us encounters.
