Hi! I’m Manahil Nawaz from Pakistan. I grew up between the peaceful, green hills of Mansehra and the fast paced, food loving city of Karachi. I’m not much of a hiker except when I’m back home in Mansehra, where the nature pulls you in. I’m a big fan of deep dive podcasts (history, mystery, social issues) and reading whatever sparks curiosity. Catch me with a coffee in hand and a podcast in my ears! I believe small conversations can lead to big change and I’m here for it. I love connecting with people and representing my university, which is why I’m excited to be part of the ELTE Ambassador team.

WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?
Because it’s more than just lectures and exams it’s about joining a diverse, supportive community where every day brings new ideas, friendships, and chances to grow. The mix of tradition and innovation means you learn from the best while exploring your own path.
WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?
ELTE is a prestigious university with a high standard and many talented students, so at the beginning, I found it challenging to understand how things worked and to keep up with the pace. Managing my time between academic and social life was also difficult. Adjusting to this new environment and higher expectations was definitely a big learning curve for me
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
The university and lecturers provide great support, but what really helped me were the senior guides and mentors assigned to us by ELTE. They offered practical advice, answered my questions, and helped me navigate both academic life and the social side of the university. Their guidance made a big difference in easing my transition and building my confidence.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?
My degree is more than just academic knowledge it’s shaping the way I think, solve problems, and approach challenges with confidence. Studying at ELTE has given me a strong foundation in my field, while also building skills like critical thinking, adaptability, and cross cultural communication. These aren’t just tools for a job they’re tools for life. I believe this degree will open doors in my career and help me make a meaningful impact wherever I go.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?
Come with an open mind and a curious heart. ELTE will challenge you, inspire you, and sometimes confuse you. Ask questions, talk to people, say yes to new experiences, and don’t be afraid to get a little lost, that’s usually where the best memories start.
