The Erasmus GAP project's Inclusivity Toolkit, designed to support inclusive mobility strategies, has been completed. This toolkit helps higher education institutions identify both the factors that facilitate and those that hinder access to mobility opportunities, clarifying why some students can access these opportunities while others cannot.

About the Toolkit

The theoretical foundation of the toolkit is based on comprehensive research conducted by ELTE experts during the Erasmus GAP project. This research utilised a literature review, as well as surveys and interviews, to map out factors that aid and hinder mobility. The research confirmed that, in addition to individual factors such as socio-economic status and mobility capital, institutional strategies, structures, and procedures also play a significant role in determining who can participate in mobility and who cannot.

With the help of the Inclusivity Toolkit, also developed by ELTE experts, professionals working in higher education can conduct self-assessments through a visually accessible interface. Well-developed data collection tools aid in evaluating the factors identified during the research, considering various dimensions of mobility, thus helping higher education institutions gain a comprehensive picture of the supporting and hindering factors of mobility within the institution. By providing guidelines, the toolkit supports institutions in reconsidering their approaches and processes to ensure access to mobility and in developing or modifying their inclusive mobility programs.

The toolkit is recommended for managers and staff of international offices, heads of educational units, teaching staff, and anyone involved in international collaborations related to mobility, education, research, and strategic partnerships.
