During his visit to ELTE Faculty of Humanities, Tetsuya Kimura, Japan’s Ambassador to Hungary, presented the Faculty with a selection of English‑language academic books on Japan donated through the Read Japan Project.

The Read Japan Project aims to promote a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society. Operated by the Tokyo Foundation, the program provides higher education institutions with volumes covering key aspects of Japanese society, economy, politics, and history. The donation offers valuable academic support to students and faculty in the Faculty’s Department of Japanese Studies, further enriching its internationally oriented teaching and research activities.
