My name is Mohammad Naser, and I’m originally from Syria but was raised in Kuwait. I enjoy reading, creative writing, and having meaningful conversations about culture, psychology, and society. I love exploring new ideas and finding inspiration in art, film, and nature.

WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?
What stood out to me about ELTE was its strong academic reputation, international community, and location in the heart of Budapest. I was drawn to the university’s emphasis on critical thinking and its welcoming environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?
ELTE offers a unique combination of academic rigor and personal growth. The professors are genuinely passionate and supportive, and the diverse student body encourages open-minded discussion. Studying in Budapest also provides a vibrant cultural backdrop that enriches student life beyond the classroom.
WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?
One challenge I faced was adapting to the academic expectations and managing the workload, especially in a second language. Balancing deep learning with deadlines wasn’t always easy, particularly in the beginning.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
I overcame these challenges by building better time management habits, connecting with classmates for support, and gradually becoming more confident in participating and expressing my thoughts. I also learned not to be afraid of asking questions and seeking feedback.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?
My degree is helping me develop strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills that are essential in both academic and professional settings. It’s also shaping my worldview, making me more empathetic and informed—qualities I believe are crucial for any meaningful career involving people.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?
Be open to the full experience both academically and socially. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help or guidance, and make the most of the international community around you. Get involved, stay curious, and remember that growth often comes from stepping out of your comfort zone.
