Hi! My name is Ploy, and I am from Thailand. I’m someone who really values balance in life. Outside of my studies and work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends because they help me relax and recharge. I like listening to music, exploring new places, and trying different foods. In my free time, I also enjoy watching movies or shows and taking time for myself when I can. I believe staying positive and surrounding myself with supportive people is very important.

What stood out to you about ELTE?

What really stands out about ELTE to me is its strong academic reputation and long history. As one of the oldest and most respected universities in Hungary, it has a tradition of academic excellence and research.

What makes studying at ELTE so great?

Studying at ELTE is great because of its amazing professors, high-quality education, supportive academic environment, and vibrant international student community.

What are/were your challenges in your study program?

One of the biggest challenges I faced was trying to manage my time between studying and working. I often felt overwhelmed juggling deadlines, assignments, and work shifts, and it was hard to give my full attention to either responsibility. There were times when I felt stressed and exhausted, which made it even more difficult to stay motivated and organized.

How did you overcome these challenges?

I overcame these challenges by becoming more intentional with how I managed my time. I started using a planner to organize my assignments, work shifts, and deadlines so I could see everything in one place. I also created a study schedule and broke large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. Learning to prioritize what was most important each day helped reduce my stress. Although it wasn’t perfect, developing better time management habits and staying disciplined helped me balance both work and school more effectively.

How would you describe ELTE in three words?

Diverse, Academic, Historic

How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career?

I think my degree will help me a lot in both my life and career because it has given me not only knowledge, but also confidence in myself. It’s helped me develop important skills like problem-solving, communication, and time management, which I know will be useful in any job. More than that, finishing my degree shows me that I can handle challenges and stay committed to my goals, and that’s something that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Do you have any recommendations for future students at ELTE?

I would recommend future students at ELTE to stay organized from the beginning and not fall behind on assignments, because the workload can build up quickly. Don’t be afraid to ask professors questions—they are knowledgeable and really want students to succeed.
