Join ESN for a full-day hiking trip to the northern part of Hungary, where you will explore the historic castles and unique volcanic landscapes around Somoskő and Salgó and potentially discover a small Hungarian towns gems.

The hike will take us to Somoskő Castle, located just across the Slovakian border, where you will also visit the spectacular basalt formations. From Somoskő, you will continue on foot through the surrounding forests towards Salgó Castle, another medieval castle situated on a volcanic hill with beautiful panoramic views.

The trip is designed as a full-day outdoor programme, so be prepared for several hours of walking on forest paths and hilly terrain.
