Hey! I’m Sercan, an international student from Istanbul, Türkiye. I’m currently doing fencing, and I also enjoy hiking whenever I get the chance. I love learning about different languages and cultures, and travelling is one of my biggest passions. I’m also really interested in aviation, I’ve always found it fascinating. I’m always excited to meet new people and connect with others from different backgrounds!

What stood out to me about ELTE was how international and diverse the environment is. WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?

What makes studying at ELTE so great is its beautiful campus and central location in Budapest, combined with a truly international environment. The university offers high-quality education and encourages students to explore different perspectives and ideas. There are also many opportunities to join clubs, workshops, and events, making it easy to meet new people and gain memorable experiences while studying.

WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?

It was finding the lecture halls. The Trefort campus is big!

It just took me a few days to get used to it!

My degree has opened the door to the academic world, helping me grow as a learner and develop skills that will guide me in my life and career.

DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?

I would recommend future students to explore the campus and get involved in activities as much as possible. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, meet new people, and try different things. It’s a great way to make the most out of your time at ELTE and create unforgettable experiences.
