Hi, I'm Sabrina! I'm 28 years old and from Ecuador. I love swimming, going for walks, and writing. I have one sister and two nephews I adore. I'd describe myself as kind, calm, and a bit introverted, but with plenty to say once you get to know me!

WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU ABOUT ELTE?
What stood out to me was ELTE's prestige; it's one of the best universities in Hungary with a long, strong track record. I was also drawn to the international atmosphere, the quality of the professors, the campus itself, and the networking opportunities.
WHAT MAKES STUDYING AT ELTE SO GREAT?
ELTE gives you the chance to build real expertise in your field. The professors are highly qualified and act as true mentors, and my classmates are brilliant people who keep me motivated. On top of that, the hands-on labs, the opportunities to grow professionally, and the range of clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities make the experience complete.
WHAT ARE / WERE YOUR CHALLENGES IN YOUR STUDY PROGRAM?
My main challenges were getting used to the educational platforms, since I wasn't familiar with them at first, and having limited lab skills, though that improved with time. I also arrived in Hungary a bit later than everyone else, so it took me longer to connect with my classmates. And of course, English being my second language brought its own difficulties, along with the occasional Hungarian phrase I didn't understand.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES?
I learned the platforms step by step, asking questions, figuring out how to choose courses, register, and sign up for exams. My lab skills improved gradually with practice, and over time I got closer to my classmates as we shared more classes together. As for the language, simply speaking more helped me communicate better and feel confident presenting in English, while my Hungarian classes taught me useful everyday phrases, greetings, "please," "thank you," and so on.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE ELTE IN THREE WORDS?
Diverse, Challenging, Enriching.
HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR DEGREE WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER?
With this master's, I plan to pursue new professional opportunities or continue my academic training. I believe it can open doors in the field of microbiology, both in Ecuador and abroad, not just because of the degree itself, but because of the knowledge I've gained along the way.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AT ELTE?
